A Chanel Double Flap Bag in aged leather. The Flap Bag has a storied history: it was first debuted by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel in the '50s and then later re-envisioned by Karl Lagerfeld in the '80s. In 2005, Lagerfeld rereleased Coco's original 2.55 design as the Reissue (2.55 refers to the month and year—February 1955—of Coco's original design).
The Flap Bag comes in many different styles. The most common materials are calfskin, lambskin and caviar, though it is available in more exotic leathers such as lizard and ostrich. The most common sizes are Mini, Small, Medium, Jumbo and Maxi. Coco's original design—to which this particular bag belongs—features a chain strap and the iconic Mademoiselle lock, while Lagerfeld's design has a leather-woven chain strap and the Double-C turnlock closure.
Condition:Excellent
Overall: The outer leather has a few light scratches, but no major or noticeable wear. Inside, there are also a few light scratches on the leather, but no significant signs of wear.
